Ollie began life as a drummer at age 10, playing along (questionably at first) to albums by bands such as Iron Maiden and Rush, then later Dream Theater, Opeth and Genesis.

By age 18 he was a fully-fledged technical metal drummer, forming the progressive death metal band Oakhaart with his brother Max in 2013, who gigged in the Bristol area before going on to play Bloodstock festival in the summer of 2014.

Since that time Ollie has branched out into other styles including fusion and even jazz, all while maintaining his prog and metal roots.

Albion first recruited Ollie in the spring of 2022 during a strange and surreal trip to the Brecon Beacons in Wales to film the video for ‘Pagan Spirit’. His introduction to the band was apt both geographically and in its unorthodox nature.

The band knew if he could weather dragging a drum kit up a small mountain then he could stand to share a stage with Joe, Jack and Peter (just).
